Note: most of these places have discounted University of Colorado or Government rates.

Top Tier:

St. Julien. Very fancy, very new, very expensive. Convenient downtown location.
Hotel Boulderado. Large, classic downtown hotel, about 1 mile from university. Highly recommended.
Millennium Harvest House. Very close to campus.
Boulder Marriott. Good hotel, less ideal location in the strip-mall district.

Middle Tier:

University Club. The faculty club. Best location (on campus). NOTE: Currently closed.
Boulder Outlook Hotel. Near campus.
Boulder Inn. A Best Western, near campus.

Budget:

Golden Buff Lodge. A Best Western motel in the strip-mall district near the Marriott.
Foot of the Mountain Motel. Small, "rustic" place in Boulder Canyon, at the extreme west end of the city.
New West Inns (formerly a Super 8). Close to campus.
Days Inn. On the southeast edge of town, but there's frequent bus service to campus.
