Comet Hyakutake , 3/26/96,
~1:30 am from Shabbona, Illinois. This shot was taken with a Nikon EM
with Kodak Royal Gold 1000 film, and printed on Kodak Ultra II paper.
The lens is a Nikkor 50 mm f/1.4. The exposure was
approximately 90 seconds (no tracking) with the lens wide open.
A somwehat wider view of
Comet Hyakutake. This was taken with a Tamron 28mm f/2.5 lens. Note
the Big Dipper visible across the top of the frame, and the north star
at the very bottom of the frame, approximately 4/10 of the way between
the lower left and lower right corners.
